We built a modular, flat roof kitchen extension on a detached, 4 bedroom house and created a beautiful landscape garden resembling a Bali villa in Upper Parkstone - We Increased dining space for the family, which added 20% to the property’s value.
Extension Consultation
Lewis and Lara embarked on the journey of creating their dream home, envisioning an open-plan living space. To ensure precision and compliance with regulations, a thorough approach was adopted, involving consultations with architects, planners, engineers, and designers.
Extension Design
Utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) technology, comprehensive design plans were carefully crafted. Following diligent preparation, planning permission was successfully secured. Drawing inspiration from a trip to Bali, special attention was given to importing unique materials to enhance the property's aesthetic appeal.
Extension Construction
A foundation of excellence was laid with the implementation of steel-reinforced footings, strategically positioned to support the installation of eleven goal post steels crucial for the realization of the open-plan concept. The thorough process continued with the pouring of a concrete slab and precise demolition work. Underfloor heating was seamlessly integrated, followed by the application of a meticulously laid screed. The extension itself was constructed using high-quality block and rendered finishes. Noteworthy features such as bi-folding doors and custom concrete-tiled flooring were carefully installed. The culmination of these efforts saw the incorporation of deluxe amenities including a high-end kitchen, gas fire, and LED strip lighting, elevating the extension into a thoughtfully designed sanctuary.
Delivery of Extension
Exceeding the typical timeline, the project spanned six months, encompassing the comprehensive refurbishment of the entire flat. This encompassed the transformation of two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a walk-in wardrobe, pantry, utility room, garden office, and meticulous landscaping, culminating in the realization of Lewis and Lara's dream home.
