Extension Consultation
Jim approached us with a vision of transforming his home into an open-plan living space for himself, his wife, and their beloved dog. Understanding his requirements, we embarked on a comprehensive consultation process to ensure we captured his vision accurately.
Extension Design
We commenced by producing detailed architectural designs, which were then submitted for planning permission, successfully securing the necessary approvals. Collaborating with our engineer, we meticulously planned the specifications and loads for the structural steels. To provide Jim and his wife with a clear visualisation of the proposed design, we created 3D renderings to bring the project to life.

We built a single-storey house extension on a detached, 4 bedroom house in Iford. We added a slate foundation staircase to fit the aesthetic of the extension. With this new space, a brand new kitchen and dining room was added, which meant they could turn it into a 5 bedroom house.
Extension Construction
During the construction phase, we encountered an unexpected challenge—a bunker buried in the garden. Adhering to building regulations, we swiftly adapted our plans, opting for pad foundations and ground steels. Utilizing block and beam construction for the flooring, we incorporated underfloor heating to ensure comfort and efficiency. The exterior was finished with sleek block and render, complemented by a slate tile rear face. Inside, Jim opted for a high-end kitchen and a clean, minimalist aesthetic, complete with special LED lighting and slim-frame glass sliding doors. Concrete tiles were chosen throughout for a modern, cohesive look.
Delivery of Extension
Despite the unforeseen obstacle of the bunker, the project was completed to the highest standards within approximately 12 weeks. The meticulous attention to detail and commitment to a high-end finish ensured Jim and his wife were delighted with their newly transformed home.
