We built a double-storey house extension with a balcony on a detached, 4 bedroom house in Hengistbury Head. We created an open-plan living space on the ground floor and add two additional rooms with en-suites and balconies upstairs
Extension Consultation
Sarah and Dave invited us to their charming home in Hengistbury Head to discuss their vision for a double-storey extension. Their dream was to create an open-plan living space on the ground floor and add two additional rooms with en-suites and balconies upstairs.
Extension Design
Utilizing the architectural designs already prepared by their chosen architect, we focused on bringing their vision to life with a 3D visualisation. This allowed Sarah and Dave to envision the final result and make any necessary adjustments to ensure it met their expectations.
Extension Construction
The construction phase began with the installation of pad foundations to support the structural steelwork. We then erected new brick walls up to the first-floor level and installed new joists and a cut roof. Aluminium windows and doors were carefully fitted to enhance the aesthetic and functionality of the extension. Inside, underfloor heating was installed for comfort, along with a new kitchen and vinyl flooring. Special attention was given to unique features such as the brick wall, lighting, and rimless glass balcony, adding a touch of luxury to the project.
Delivery of Extension
Due to Dave's deadline to have the project completed, our team worked diligently to ensure everything was finished on time. Despite the scale of the project, including a double-storey extension and full house refurbishment, we successfully completed the work within the agreed-upon timeframe. Sarah and Dave were able to move into their newly transformed home in time for Christmas, allowing them to spend the holiday season with their son, who was returning from traveling. As part of our commitment to customer satisfaction, all necessary certificates and documentation were provided upon completion.
